FAQ

Good Questions

The things families ask us most. Got another? Text Miranda anytime.

Q.What comes home with the puppy?
A.Your new fluffy troublemaker heads home with a full starter kit to make the transition as smooth as possible (for both of you). You'll get the current food they're eating, a vaccination schedule, microchip registration info, potty training resources, and Miranda's contact information so you're never on your own. Plus a cozy blanket that smells like home, a fun toy, complete health records, the vet check letter, a small bag of dry food, a can of puppy food, and a few extra surprises. We basically send them off with a care package and a note saying good luck, they're fast!
Q.Is the puppy fully vaccinated?
A.Not yet, because fully vaccinated takes time! Puppies need 4 rounds of the big 5-way combo (Distemper, Adenovirus/Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) between 6 and 16 weeks, usually spaced about 3 weeks apart, plus a Rabies vaccine. We send every puppy home with all the age-appropriate shots they've had so far, along with a clear schedule so you can keep them protected. We're all about doing it right, not rushing.
Q.Is the puppy spayed or neutered?
A.Nope! We prefer to let them keep their hormones a little longer for healthier development. We recommend waiting until they're about a year old, or until a female has gone through one heat cycle, before spaying or neutering. This is a big decision best discussed with your own vet. We'll happily share why we do it this way, but ultimately it's your call.
